Call for Abstracts

The Latin American Geothermal Congress (LGC) 2025 will explore low (<70ºC) and high-temperature (>70ºC) geothermal energy from a technical standpoint.

Around these two main themes, the congress will feature presentations and poster sessions on:

  • Public policy and regulatory framework
  • Technology and engineering
  • Applications and use
  • Research and development
  • Environmental and social impact

Roundtable discussions will be held to consolidate past experiences, understand the current state of geothermal energy, and propose a joint regional vision for the advancement of this clean and limitless energy source.

Finally, a field trip will be conducted to the Ahuachapán geothermal plant to celebrate its 50 years of operation.
